Sweetwater Speedway recognized the drivers, sponsors and volunteers, at their 2021 Championship Banquet in Rock Springs, WY, on October 23rd. It was a great night celebrating the successes of the drivers and the Speedway. There were a approximately 304 race car drivers from 15 different states that competed at the speedway in 2021.
At the banquet, the Speedway awarded Dave Pitt, President of Pitt Construction, the Elite Sponsor award for his ongoing support and sponsorship during the 2021 race season.
“We are so thankful for Dave and his crew at Pitt Construction. Their support at the speedway ensures the success of racing in southwest Wyoming” said Kara Beech, Sweetwater Speedway Manager. “Dave has whole-heartedly supported our speedway program and philosophy.”
During the selection process, companies were recognized and received an award for the contribution. Troy Householder, fellow race car driver and Superintendent of Pitt Construction, stated, “Sweetwater Speedway is the best facility for racing. They have amazing leadership and volunteers who run the speedway“.
Additionally, Dave won the Speedway track champion award for the IMCA Northern Sport Modified Division. This is the first time Dave has won this award. During the selection process, drivers were judged on total points scored from 11 different races.
