November 11th became a legal federal holiday in the United States in 1938, dedicated to the cause of world peace and to be hereafter celebrated and known as ‘Armistice Day’. On June 1, 1954, in the aftermath of World War II and the Korean War, Armistice Day became Veterans Day, a holiday dedicated to American veterans of all wars.
We are grateful to all members of our military, in all branches, past and present, living, and dead. On this day, we honor all current and former members of the Armed Services. Our country’s greatness is built on the foundation of your courage and sacrifice.
Thank you to all our veterans for your courage, strength, and dedication to keeping us safe, and for defending our rights, freedoms, and liberties. Communication and Marketing Director Bob Keys states that, “Growing up with uncles, a father and grandfather who faithfully served in our military, I experienced some of the sacrifice that countless men and women have made”. The willingness of America’s veterans to sacrifice for our country has earned all veteran’s our lasting gratitude. We thank you!
