In honor of International Women’s Day and Women in Construction Week, we want to honor and recognize not only the four wonderful women within the Pitt Construction family, but all the amazing, strong, and hardworking women in the construction industry! About International Women’s Day:
International Women’s Day is observed annually on March 8 and celebrates the global “social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women,” according to the International Women’s Day website. The day also calls for action to advance gender equality.
About Women in Construction Week:
Women in Construction Week traces the history of women in construction, their challenges, and the ways they’ve been able to overcome them. The week is observed to appreciate the women who have taken the bold step to enter the construction industry, and also to encourage those willing to make similar commitments.
